Life is Dynamic

Someone commented today after I explained (more in depth than I ever share, but they asked specifically, so I shared openly) about my business endeavors these days with "wow, that sounds like a lot".

I replied, "yeah, it's very dynamic".

We both laughed and then I said; "that's professional speak for I'm exhausted, I'm not sleeping, barely eating, and working around the clock to develop something I believe in."

Dynamic.

That's a great word for life now that I've had several hours to ponder it.

Life isn't linear, nor are we.

It's dynamic, with multiple entry points onto any given timeline and series of events.

Strategizing something nonlinear is incredibly complex and can be overwhelming.

And I think that's why we get overwhelmed thinking about 1, 3, 5 year plans.

Because once you've tried it and formed it in a linear fashion just to discover it doesn't work a couple times, it's easy to get burned out.

Nonlinear marketing is actually an advanced marketing approach that few companies or professionals use.

But it works.

One of the reasons it works so well is because we expect things to play out in a nonlinear way.

It's proactive, not reactive.

And it hit me today - "dynamic" was my way of accepting the reality of a nonlinear life.

Like I said earlier, there are a ton of unknowns right now, and every week something changes in my business in an effort to adapt to market demands with a priority on adding value.

But as I enter a new series of events, daily it feels like, I'm reminded that it's the nature of growing.

Growing results from applying in a nonlinear environment.

Stagnation results from remaining set in a linear environment.

In other words...

Growing results from learning and applying through the ups and down of life, but still pushing through.

Stagnation results from (maybe learning but definitely) not applying through the ups and downs but instead holding to a reality of our own.

Said again differently (because I'm processing still)...

Growing results from adapting to what reality actually is, regardless of what we want reality to be.

Stagnation results from holding to what we want reality to be, even what reality actually is.

Life is dynamic.

It requires constant learning and applying.

So yeah, I maybe could be more honest with myself and just acknowledge that I'm EXHAUSTED and need some rest. Which I really am working on... sorta.

But I think it is ESSENTIAL to come to terms with the fact that life isn't a linear path that a standard recipe fits.

It's different for each of us, and that's both OK and SUPER EXCITING :D

Did I just verbally process with you? Yeah. 100% did.

Hopefully you don't mind too much, friend!

It's super fun to have a friend to share these thoughts with (though jumbled at times).

If you have any feedback, I'd LOVE to hear!!

I hope you have an AMAZING rest of your week!
