A bit about who I am, what I do, and what drives me.

Hey! 👋🏼

I’m David, an avid learner, business systems enthusiast, and serial connector. I’ve done quite a few things - I write about them over on my resume page - but the main thing to know about me is that I’m passionate about solving problems and empowering young professionals to be their best.

This website, while built fully using AI tools, is 100% written by me. That’s one thing I’m also very insistent upon: that my writings be 100% mine and only edited and fine-tuned with the help of technology. Otherwise, what you see and read is truly me, 100% human, shared for your benefit and hopefully to establish a foundation of trust and camaraderie, setting the stage for a collaboration that produces incredible results

As an Operations Efficiency Consultant (fancy way to say I help organizations and their teams become more efficient at what they do, typically resulting in greater net profit), I am working daily with key stakeholders (that means everyone important to a project, from employees to vendors to customers and everyone in between) to map core processes, identify key opportunities (remove waste, increase production, etc), prioritize defined projects, and offer design and support to technical teams in validating and deploying solutions that solve real problems and generate measurable ROI (return on investment).

While that might sound like a lot of jargon, that is the best way I know how to expound on the incredibly dynamic and meaningful work that I have the privilege to be a part of every single day with my phenomenal teams.

Ok, so you’re either super technical and you checked the source code and went “wow, vibe-coded, huh?” or you’re a non-technical visitor and maybe thought “interesting, this has a lot of flashy things on this site, whatever”. Either way, we’re all aware this isn’t just some WordPress theme I installed.

Well, it’s not WordPress at all. This is a statically-exported Next.js site that pulls all its content from a headless Notion CMS via API at build time — no server, no runtime dependencies, just pre-rendered HTML served from GitHub Pages. The animated background is a custom WebGL fragment shader running a CPPN neural network, and yes, the whole thing was vibe-coded with AI.

And it was all designed and built by Matthew (mncoleman.com), as a result of his endless curiosity and problem-solving as a Project Manager and Systems Architect at Dovito. This is what I enjoy most: showing off the work of people WAY smarter than me.

Ah! THE 1159. This is a project I started in the pit of depression, knowing that the only way I could truly pull through without losing all hope was to turn outward and attempt to give back to the young professionals around me, focusing on the positive in my life and lessons learned.

So that’s why I write it, as a way to give you a window into my life and the lessons I’m learning, hopefully encouraging you to dare to be more and accomplish not only the goals but the purpose placed on your life.

Life is a wonderful thing, and I’m thankful to be alive and to know someone like YOU!
