The agreement

dkcoleman.com is run by me, David Coleman, personally. By using it, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Using the site

You’re welcome to read, share links, sign up and get in touch. Please don’t:

• break the law or anyone’s rights while using the site;
• send spam, fake submissions or anything harmful through the forms;
• scrape, crawl or copy the site in bulk, or use it to train AI models, without my written permission;
• get around the site’s protections, including the personal download links;
• pretend to be someone else, or pretend to be connected to me when you aren’t.

I can block access or remove a submission that breaks these rules.

My writing and downloads

The writing, images, drawings, emails and downloads on this site are mine and protected by copyright, unless they say otherwise. You can quote short pieces with credit and a link back. For anything more, ask me first.

Downloads like the Talent Discovery Kit are for your own personal use. You can use them for yourself and talk about them freely, but please don’t resell them, republish them or pass the files around. Send people to the site to get their own copy. The third-party assessments the kit points to belong to their owners, and their own terms apply.

What you send me

What you send through the forms stays yours. You let me use it to reply to you, to decide on and run meetings, and to keep the records described in the privacy policy. If you pitch me an idea or a seat, I’ll treat it with respect, but unless we sign something that says otherwise, I can’t promise to keep it confidential or to not work on something similar.

Meetings

Requesting a meeting doesn’t book one until I say yes. I can say no, change the time, or cancel, and you can reschedule or cancel from the link in your confirmation. Meetings through this site are free conversations, not a paid engagement. Any work together, including work with Dovito®, happens under its own written agreement.

Not professional advice

What I write and say is my own experience and opinion, shared to help. It isn’t legal, financial, tax, investment, medical or real estate advice for your situation, and reading it doesn’t create a professional relationship. Talk to a qualified professional before acting on it. Real estate shown here is for information only, may change or be out of date, and isn’t an offer.

I link to other sites and tools because I find them useful. I don’t control them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.

No warranties

The site and everything on it are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that they’re accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, that come from using or relying on the site. My total liability for anything related to the site is limited to $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. If your use of the site or your submissions lead to a claim against me, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Colorado law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Colorado, and you and I both agree to those courts. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
