A New Chapter

November 8, 2025• 2 min read
The 1159GrowthBusiness

I've always thought of a new chapter as this SHINY, GLORIOUS, NEW next stage where EVERYTHING is different.

(sorry, not yelling)

But I realized in pondering about it - a new chapter is "NEW", it is sometimes glorious, but it's always part of an ongoing story.

Therefore, it's a continuation, not a start-from-scratch sort of deal.

Continuation.

In rounding out the year, there's so much in my life that I love and want to continue.

And of course, there's a ton that I want to start afresh, or revise (working out, general diet, sleep routine, etc.)

But I think for the sake of maintaining forward momentum, my mindset needs to be on continuation, stepping up, next level... not the next new thing.

And that's definitely how 2026 is feeling.

Business is about to change up, pretty substantially, but it's not NEW, it's just a new chapter.

It's a continuation of what I've always been about - just more clear, more simple, more consistent, more collaborative.

This new chapter is about refining focus.

The dot on the map has gotten a little fuzzy, and for my sake, my family's sake, my team's sake, investors' sake, customers' sake .. I need to refocus that laser.

I'm still determined to share more - I just need to find a process that works, where I can still write, still record, still share what I'm learning and applying, but having it distributed consistently without my direct involvement.

Because if there's one thing I've learned in the past 6-months, it's that I'm single-handily the bottleneck right now.

So, the 1159 shall continue.

I plan to grow it still, and I plan to make it more valuable to every friend who subscribes.

I just needed (and still need) some time to tend to my own house and get things in order.

So, hold me accountable...... the next 1159 drops on Tuesday, just like before.

And if you don't see it - email me at david@dkcoleman.com and keep me accountable to the goal.

I'll chat with you soon.
