Keeping Perspective

December 29, 2024• 2 min read

What I can say is that it really only takes one blow to the knees to make you think you’ve lost the marathon, when it’s really just a setback.

I’m reminded by family, friends, and my trusted advisors that life happens, knees get scraped, but God is good all the time.

Per the usual, I’m trekking ahead in all kinds of neat ventures and opportunities, but to maintain the transparency I try to have here, it’s been a heck of a week.

Emotions are high, the pain is searing (understatement actually), ego has been completely crushed, and some moments in each day I get this rush of hopelessness that floods my mind.

Here’s all I’ll say - take your time.

Take your time to pray it out.

Don’t react, respond.

Don’t jump to conclusions, patiently await clarity.

Trust, don’t fret.

Believe, don’t doubt.

And at the end of the day, it’s ok to know what to say, but not feel it anyway.

Power through in faith, hope, trust, and above all else, love.

It’s never over.

It’s never hopeless.

And it’s always a good day to love the Lord.

And to avoid being too vague, all is good, all are safe, and God is leading perfectly as He always does. :)

I pray you have a blessed week, friend.
