Thoughts from a Walk
As I walked down the street, feeling the pressure change and temperature drop (best feeling ever), a thought dawned on me.
As much as I'm striving for right now, I realized yet again today, that I'm living the life I'm aspiring for.
Sure, there are many factors not aligned that I'm working towards... those will come soon enough.
But in all reality, I'm able to break from work, take a 10 minute walk, hop on a call with my team, brainstorm new processes with my brother, see every member of my family and my girlfriend multiple times in one day, and fully enjoy an evening of learning (and building a new website for fun with AI)... with very few constraints.
Like legit, it's a good life.
Not easy - LOL, brutal - but really simple.
There's this thing called the entrepreneurial rollercoaster, and brother, it's real.
One day you are just on top of the world, flying high on the ideas that you know are going to crush it.
The next you can be in a depressive state nearing full paralysis, fearing that you've thrown your entire life to the wind with no hope tomorrow.
It's wild.
And I'm writing this down - how truly amazing my life really is - because I know I'm going to get hit with those all time lows at some point soon.
But when that wave of emotions hits, I want to hold on to the fact that this life is beautiful, just the way it is, without the need for all the things, status, achievements.
Running pants, T-shirt, sneakers, Spindrift in hand, taking a walk before the thundering storm - that simple experience can be a reminder that I've been given breath today and am alive with a purpose.
If I choose to see it that way.
And today I am, and writing this so that tomorrow I'm reminded of the same.
Not sure what you're dealing with, or how far you are from your goals... whether far or close, just remember; life is a gift, and you have a wonderful purpose.
Proud of you and rooting for you!
